The purpose of this role is to perform activities that support the safe, timely, accurate and cost-effective movement of materials, machines, and spare parts in, out and throughout the facility.

This position supports manufacturing and associated services to meet production and shipping deadlines on time and in full.


  • Loading and unloading of transport vehicles and containers.
  • Receipting of purchase orders and putting away of inbound products.
  • Work Order/Sales Order picking & issuing to all internal and external customers.
  • Conducting milk runs.
  • De-kitting canopies.    Removing rubbish and recycling from production areas.
  • Packing and despatching of outbound products including express freight.
  • Stock checking activities to identify and communicate discrepancies, obsolescence, BOM related issues and quality issues.
  • Stock error investigation to identify likely causes for stock inaccuracy.
  • Conducting transactions in QAD using RF where available and conducting daily cycle counting.
  • Maintaining integrity of data accuracy in relation to stores and shipping functions down to bin and location level including the application of FIFO principles.
  • Participating in the development and improvement of standard work instructions (SWI).
  • Training of fellow employees on the use and adherence to SWIs and other duties as required.

  • Attention to detail with strong numeracy, verbal & written communication skills.
  • Safe and competent operation and use of company material handling equipment that complies with OH&S Policies and Procedures.
  • Ability to process and interpret inbound and outbound documentation accurately.
  • Working knowledge of inventory management systems and processes.
  • Well organised and an ability to carry out defined tasks and responsibilities.
  • Demonstrated flexibility and adaptability across multi-functions.
  • Able to meet deadlines and organise work priorities as directed.
  • Computer Skills - proficient in basic MS Office and desirable knowledge of QAD.
  • Ability to work autonomously.
  • Ability to investigate and resolve issues relating to the position function.
  • Demonstrated cost awareness and waste reduction mentality.


Mandatory        Minimum 2 years warehousing experience and current and valid Forklift Licence.

Desirable          Motor vehicle drivers’ licence and/or Heavy vehicle driver’s license.
