Our client has been in operation in Australian market for the last 20 years and is one Australia's top 10 and fastest growing supermarket retailers in the country that pride themselves on being good, different.

They are looking for hard-working casuals to join their team of pickers to assist with picking and selecting products efficiently of all sorts of ambient, fresh and frozen produce products, ready for delivery to local stores.

We are currently looking for casuals to be available across all shifts, in different departments for 11am and 7pm starts (6-7 hour shifts) to work a 4-5 day roster across Monday to Sunday.

• Cold Storage section: 11am and 7pm shifts - shifts allocated across Monday to Sunday and your rostered days will remain the same.
• Selections section: 7pm shifts - shifts rotating each week across Monday to Sunday

Shifts for other days can be offered to cover other casual staff leave.

For the Cold Storage site - you must be comfortable in a chiller environment for this position - chiller environment is 2 degrees, Freezer is -18 degrees so you must be comfortable with a constant cold environment.

The Role:
As part of the Prestons DC team, you will be working within the warehouse and will be responsible for picking and selecting products efficiently of fresh and frozen produce, ready for delivery. The Cold Storage role will be working in and out of the Chillers and Freezers so you will need to be comfortable with cold environments. Other tasks may include:

• Accurate and prompt picking of products
• Receiving and dispatching of goods
• Managing orders
• Controlling stock levels
• Operating machinery in a safe and efficient manner

Essential Criteria:

• Previous warehousing and picking experience essential
• Previous experience operating ride-on pallet riders is highly regarded
• Attendance and Reliability is a must - you will need to be available for the 4 rostered days every week
• Physically fit and able to lift 20-25kg consistently
• Sound reading and numerical skills
• Strong communication skills are a must
• Able to work quickly and think on your feet
• Able to work both autonomously and as part of a team
• Previous cold storage experience would be an advantage
• Must be comfortable working in a cold environment - Chiller is 2 degrees, Freezer is -18 degrees
• Own transport reliable transport (not accessible on Public Transport) particularly for early morning shift times
• Must have full time working rights within Australia to be considered for these positions
