About the role

We are seeking experienced Enrolled or Registered Nurses to work as Support Workers to provide specific in-home care and support work for our client living in the Unley area.

Duties:

  • Tracheostomy and Ventilator Management (training provided).
  • Continual clinical assessment of client.
  • Catheter Care.
  • Personal Care including Skin Integrity Management and Pressure Area Care.
  • Assisting other Support Worker with ADL's.
  • Medication Administration.
  • Bowel Care Management.
  • Manual Handling.
  • Supporting the client with activities at home and out in community.

About you:

  • Australian Driver's License and reliable car.
  • NDIS Workers Screening Check and DHS Working with Children Check.
  • Current First Aid certification.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Manual Handling certification.
  • Assist with Medication Certification.
  • English fluency - verbal and written.
  • Current AHPRA registration.

In addition:

  • Must have some understanding of the disability industry and providing person-centred support to individuals.
  • Passionate about supporting independence and providing in-home support.
  • Reliable and honest people with the ability to adapt to new environments.

This role will suit Nurses wanting to continue their experiences in disability care or those who are wanting to diversify in this area.
