Our client specialises in glass repair and replacement for all vehicle types across Australia, with over 90 years in the industry they are a well-known and much-loved Australian household name.

Our client are offering Auto Glazing Apprenticeships where candidates will complete a Certificate III and become a fully qualified Automotive Technician. We are seeking passionate and dedicated individuals who are interested in building a career with an iconic brand that genuinely believes in their employees. They actively promote and encourage caring, genuine, and positive collaborations with their people and teams.

Through our client, this can take up to 2 years, moving up from a Level 1 to a Level 5. Levels of pay will go up as they are signed off by the Technical Trainers ideally every 3-4 months. Technical Trainers work collaboratively with the Branch Managers and team, so you have their full support.

The Role

As part of this apprenticeship, the purpose of this role is to apply technical knowledge and practical skills in the repair and replacement of Automotive Glass vehicles of all types. Automotive Technicians deliver this service in a professional, timely and safe manner, observing the principles of customer focus and operational excellence in all tasks undertaken. Completing this certificate through our client only takes 2 years instead of the 4 years required through TAFE.

  • Pay rate will start at Level 1 - $24.69 per hour and will increase pay levels as learning tasks are completed and signed off by technical trainers
  • Maximum pay rate: Level 5 ($35.00)
  • Saturdays are paid at a higher pay rate

Essential Criteria:

  • MUST be able to drive both automatic and manual vehicles
  • Available to work Tuesday to Saturday 8am-4pm and ability to work overtime where required
  • Driver's license required
  • Due to the physical nature of the role, you will be required to bend, lift and squat with up to 25kgs
  • Good organisational & time management skills with the ability to prioritise conflicting tasks
  • A positive can-do attitude and a desire to succeed, with an energetic and enthusiastic approach, working quickly and efficiently
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with a reputation for positively engaging and influencing others
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Hold a high level of self-awareness and desire for ongoing personal development
  • High degree of flexibility and reliability while being able to operate in a dynamic/changing environment
