PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

Reporting into the Operations and Site Manager, the purpose of this position is to plan and oversee the production scheduling. This is a temporary assignment expected to go through to end of December 2024.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Plan Production Forecasts and Weekly Production Plans for the fulfilment of customer orders and to maintain optimal stock levels at interstate warehouses as stipulated in SAP.
• Creates and releases Production Process Orders as per Production Plan.
• Tracks Production Output vs. Production Plan, confirming produced quantities on Process Orders and closes them upon completion.
• Print Product labels based on Process Orders.
• Liaise with the Plant Manager and Operations Manager on production execution.
• Determine and help implement improvements to the production process.
• Liaise with Technical staff regarding Quality Control procedures.
• Liaise with Customer Service and Sales staff regarding product availability.
• Ensure workplace hazards and risks are identified and evaluated, actions are taken to mitigate risks and ensure formal EHS related reports are identified and completed in a timely manner.

ABOUT YOU

• Substantial experience in chemical production and / or manufacturing processes
• Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to liaise at all levels.
• Good attention to detail.
• Excellent computer skills, with sound experience with SAP.
• Ability to prioritise in a changing environment.
• Effective time management and organisational skills.
