About the role


Drake Medox are seeking fun, enthusiastic and hard-working Disability Support Workers to provide in-home care wonderful client living in the Guildford.

Our client is a ventilated quadraplegic male, living in his own home.

We are seeking support workers to join his dynamic team on an on-going basis.

This is a great opportunity for you to make a difference in our client's life, as well as enhance your skills and knowledge with ongoing client specific training.


The right candidates will be flexible and available to work a range of the following shifts throughout the week:

Morning 0700-1500

Afternoons 1500-2300

Active Overnights- 2200-0700

Succesful applicants will have experience and understanding of the disability industry and providing person-centred support to individuals.

• Passionate about supporting independence and providing in-home support
• Reliable and honest people with the ability to adapt to new environments

Duties:

• Continual clinical assessment of client
• Catheter care
• Personal care including skin integrity management and pressure area care
• Assisting alongside the Support Worker with ADL's
• Medication administration
• Bowel care management
• Manual handling
• Supporting the client with activities at home and out in community

About you:

• Australian Driver's License and reliable car
• NDIS Workers Screening Check*Mandatory requirement*
• Current First Aid Certification *Mandatory requirement*
• Current CPR Certification *Mandatory requirement*
• Manual Handling Certification *Mandatory requirement*
• Assist with Medication Certification
• English Fluency - verbal and written
• Certificate III in Individual Support of equivalent *Mandatory requirement*
