One of Australia's leading primary healthcare providers with over 60 clinics located throughout metropolitan and regional centres, comprising medical centres and four dedicated skin clinics. They have a long history in providing healthcare services, with a team of dedicated doctors, nurses and staff who are genuinely passionate about the health and well-being of their patients. Their services span all aspects of primary healthcare from general health assessments, paediatrics, travel medicine, skin checks, and chronic disease health assessments and management including diabetes and asthma. In many locations they also offer allied health services which will continue to expand, together with occupational health services.

They are seeking passionate Registered Nurses to join their existing team and be responsible for providing a high standard of evidence-based nursing care to individuals/patients of varying ages and cultural groups within the medical centre.

We are looking for nurses in the follwing locations

  • Full-time nurse - Wentworth - Monday to Friday hours 8:30am to 4:30pm
  • Part-time nurse - Jerrabomberra - Thursday/Friday hours 8:30am to 4:30pm

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, assess, implement and evaluate nursing care in collaboration with individuals/patients/their families, with the patients General Practitioner (GP) and the multidisciplinary team so as to achieve identified goals and health outcomes.
  • Provide education, support and guidance to individuals/patients for the management of their health recovery, rehabilitation or end of life needs in collaboration with the patients General Practitioner (GP).
  • Work as part of the health care team, adhere to our Company site policies and procedures, contribute to the efficient, effective and economic running of the centre, participate in working parties or committees as required, demonstrate a commitment to Continuous Quality Improvement, Work Health and Safety, achievement of centre accreditation and deliver a high standard of customer service at all times.
  • Maintain a professional development portfolio with a commitment to ongoing learning and development.
  • Ensure best practice guidelines are adhered to including infection prevention and control practices.
  • Provide on-going education, support and guidance to Enrolled Nurses (EN's) Assist other team members as required.
  • Receive and respond to direction provided from the Practice Manager.
  • Keep all work areas tidy and organised.
  • Ensure hand over is completed for next shift.
  • Read any daily communications.
  • Attend team meetings as required.
  • To comply with all relevant work health and safety regulations and current legislation

To be successful you will possess:

  • Ability to prioritize and time manage
  • Clear communication
  • Set up a treatment room and procedures according to clinical standards
  • Manage immunisation register and vaccine fridge
  • Manage pathology register
  • Knowledge of sterilization guidelines
  • Knowledge of infection control guidelines
  • Knowledge of Medicare MBS
  • CPR Competency
  • Minor procedural experience preferred.
  • Current AHPRA Registration as a Registered Nurse in Australia
  • Ability to effectively manage and coordinate medical emergency events
  • Warm and reassuring approach towards patients, creating a comfortable environment for their care.
  • Good communication skills both verbally and in writing.
  • Be energetic and enthusiastic about nursing in general practice, showing dedication to delivering quality healthcare services.
  • Be methodical, organised, and able to prioritise work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively with doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Interested in upskilling through professional development opportunities that expand the scope of practice.
  • Familiarity with Best Practice Software is preferred.
  • Willing to work across multiple centers if required.
