The Role:

As a BMU Service Technician, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the highest standards of safety and efficiency for building maintenance units (BMUs) and associated height safety equipment. This position is at the heart of our operations, ensuring the smooth functioning of our installations through meticulous maintenance, inspection, repairs, modernizations, and installations. Reporting directly to the Service Supervisor BMU, you will collaborate with a skilled team of technicians to deliver exceptional service that our clients trust.

Please Note: This role involves working at significant heights on some of Perth's landmark buildings. It may not be suitable for those with a fear of heights.

Your Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive inspections and maintenance on all BMU models.
• Independently manage complex repairs, modernizations, and installations on specialized equipment.
• Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues autonomously.
• Source necessary parts from suppliers efficiently.
• Lead and provide oversight on major projects, demonstrating a deep understanding of safety, risk assessments, and Australian standards.
• Offer expert electrical repair solutions and modernizations to clients.
• Respond to emergency breakdowns, diagnosing and fixing both mechanical and electrical faults.

Who You Are:

• A collaborative team player who excels in multidisciplinary environments.
• Possess a proactive, 'can do' attitude, taking full ownership of your work.
• Capable of navigating cultural nuances and regional specifications.
• Comfortable working in dynamic, changing environments, embracing challenges and uncertainties.

Key Requirements:

• At least 3 years of experience as an A-grade Electrician working in a simialr role.
• Or Electical Fitter with A-Grade Licence
• Idsutrial, Machine or Lift Expereince as an electrician.
• Valid Electrical Trade License.
• Current Driver's License.
• Certified in Working at Heights. (desirable)
• Holder of a White Card.
• Ability to pass a police check and Medical assesment including Drug and Alchol Screening.
• Clear Driving History
